When architect Bolette Blædel was on maternity leave with her first child, she found it difficult to find children’s furniture that encouraged play and movement while also reflecting Danish design principles. This led her to team up with her sister, designer Louise Blædel, sparking a creative idea: what if furniture could stimulate children's imagination through play while also enhancing their motor skills? This was the birth of bObles furniture.

Since the launch of its first piece in 2006, bObles has gained international recognition, winning multiple design awards. Its mission has always remained the same: to create furniture that motivates children to move and be active.
