The story of Buubla began when the founders were traveling by plane with their son. He was used to using a potty, and without one on the plane, the little one cried and refused to use the bathroom.

Once they returned from their trip, the founders wanted to buy a portable potty because they often traveled and didn’t want to carry the regular potty due to its large size.

Their search results were surprising. In fact, they couldn’t find any travel potties on the market, and the ones they found didn’t meet their criteria for travel.

They didn’t just want a travel potty but one they could also use in everyday life. A potty that looked and felt like a regular potty and could be used anytime, made from minimal material. So, two months later, they invented the Buubla potty.

The name Buubla comes from their son. While the founders were in the kitchen brainstorming a name for their product, their two-and-a-half-year-old son interrupted the conversation by saying “Buubla.” And that was it! An easy-to-remember name, and also easy for children to pronounce.

Buubla is a registered trademark of Buubla Oy, and the Buubla potty is a patented product in both the US and Europe.
